How to eliminate squeal or feedback from in the ear hearing aids?

When I turn the volume up on my ITE hearing aid to a functional level, I get significant feedback. If I press the aid into my ear the squeal stops. Is there a solution to the problem short of having new ear molds made? I've even considered trying something like a denture adhesive to get a better seal. Is there anything anyone has tried that helps?
