Wii negotiations?

The wife thinks the Wii is a danger to the little ones that I have at home. She feels swinging the controller can be dangerous of the kids are present. They are 19 months, and 4 months, so she is mostly concerned about the older one. Please reply with your feelings on this topic. Should she really be concerned, have you heard of any kids being harmed by it? Your answers will deiced whether I go buy one or not!
