I'm not authorized to work but ordered to pay child support, what can I do?

I'm in the process of adjusting my status as a Permanent Resident and have not yet received authorization to work in the US. I have been ordered by the court to pay child support but I have not worked since 2007. I will pay the child support once I'm authorized to work and get a job but what can I do until I get a work permit?
