DOES BEEF IN SOUP SOMEHOW AFFECT THE VEGETABLES?

I'm a vegetarian. I am very strict about what I eat. As in, nothing that has touched meat. But, my mom made soup that was my favorite before I turned veg. If I ate around the meat would it affect the veggies? It's not meat broth either.
