Boyfriend lives an hour away and i barely see him?

I have been dating a guy for 3 months now. Hes 23, im 21. He works full time, im in college full time plus a part time job also. We usually see each other once a week if that. When we are together, hes really attentive and sweet, but I feel like he makes no effort when were apart. We live 45 minutes apart, and have busy schedules, so I dont expect him to talk on the phone for hours everyday but hes not really trying. Im starting to get fed up,. I really like him but idk what to do? does this have any chance of lasting
